Malaki Claims Iraq Forces Will Be Ready By June, 2007

But will they be? Or did Bush exert political pressure due to the mess he has to deal with here? If we get out before Iraq is really ready, we are in big trouble. If they go down the tubes (as if it can get worse than it already is) then the Middle East will blame us and all that comes with that. It has always been "no timeline, no timeline" even up until yesterday, now there is a timeline. I would much prefer that there is a real plan in place and we do take the time to execute it. I can go for that as long as there is a feasible plan. Why do I feel that Bush just wants to leave office with this wrapped up, you know, due to all that legacy stuff? I mean, just the other day the military was talking about increasing US troops. It is time for Iraq to take control, but I hope this is not an exercise in futility. But I hope it works.
