Drugs already take quite a long time to get FDA approval. Instead an active feedback on drugs that are new and approved would make the most sense. There should be a status as approved but new. As time goes on and statistics are collected the drug can be moved from the new catagory to the over 1 million doses perscribed, then the over 10 million and over 1 billion doses perscribed status...
However, conservatived against regulation would be against this type of sanity...
Your brain and your heart are your most vital organs. It is pretty simplein my book. Youdon't put any drug on the market that isn't tested for possible effects on these organs.
